United Portrait Studios

Ethel and Loretta Sutfin (top right) started United Portrait Studios in August 2006. Within a few weeks of starting the company Loretta was diagnosed with a serious illness.

In September 2006, Ethel and Loretta enlisted long-time friends Bert and Christina Carson (top left) to operate the company.

On Jan 27th 2008, at 7:31 AM, Loretta passed away.

Niki Cupp (bottom left), an outstanding photographer from Memphis was the company's first photographer.

Early in 2007 Jack and Adrienne Blasingame (bottom right) came on board as partners, photographers and sometimes sales reps.

During the summer of 2007 Michael King (bottom center) a musical genious (Vocalist, Pianist, and Music Director), and Bert's cousin, joined the company as a part-time photo shoot scheduler.

Michael was joined by his mother, Betty Jo King (center top) as the Director of Booking, in the fall of 2007.

As of January 2008, that's the whole company. Later on this year we'll probably add another team of photographers and an additional sales team and that will be it, because we believe in old-fashioned values and we've come to know that in our business a large company cannot maintain thoses values.
